Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Dh and I are considering NaPro technology. I rarely ovulate - it's been about 1-3 times a year since I had my son, who is now 6. Dh talked to a NaPro guy on the phone today, and it sounds like they have a lot of things to help you sustain a pregnancy after you ovulate (which I also need help with) but to get you to ovulate they just give you Clomid. I was really hoping that they could actually fix whatever is wrong with me. (I have tried different thyroid helps, and also took metformin for 8 or 9 months to no avail.)

So, my question is whether anyone else has had similar problems, and if NaPro helped. We don't have much money (dh works for the church) to do a lot of testing if there is nothing they can do to help me.

I'd appreciate any input you can give me!

Tracy, I haven't done NaPro, but I have looked into some things for other reasons than yours. From what I understand you have to chart a few months so they can analyze the problem. And they may do a investigative surgery, also. Does this differ from what he told you?

Well, he just kept talking about what they do after you ovulate - checking hormone levels, etc. - but everytime we pointed out that I rarely ovulate in the first place, he either dodged the issue or mentioned Clomid.

Hi Tracey,

I am currently under care of a Napro doctor in Australia. I am having progesterone shots twice a week to try and hold this pregnancy as my prog. has been very low.
He has always recommended checking out their website. It has lots of great info on it; Maybe it may have an outline of what is done for treatment when ovulation isn't happening regularly.

You may have already done this. I just thought if it did mention methods then you could go back to the doc with some thing to throw back at him other than the Clomid. Yes they do recommend charting and testing at certain times.

Napro does have a very good success rate for helping couples to conceive. I hope it can help you.

God Bless
Will be praying that you have success.
