Besides gargling with salt water, is there any "kid friendly" remedy for a sore throat?

Thanks,

Mare

We treat sore throats around here with Throat Coat tea and slippery elm lozenges.

Peace,
Nancy

Mine like those sore throat pops. We use them pretty rarely and I'm not even sure if they really relieve sore throats (I think there's some zinc in them??) but my kids quit complaining while they're sucking on 'em ...something about candy before breakfast

Thanks for the new ideas. I had seen some remedies using cayenne pepper but I couldn't imagine trying that with my little ones.

Peace,

hot lemonade.. lemon oils soothe a sore throat.. if they'll drink it with honey even better.. you'll want to make the lemonade with real lemon juice (fresh or bottle).. not lemonade mix of some sort.

I use 1TBS cider vinegar and 1TBS honey in a cup of hot water. It doesn't taste as bad as it sounds and it really does help.

Hope your crew is feeling better soon!
