I am looking to purchase more beads to add to my beads from Montessori outlet. The golden ones on their website look different from the ones I have already. Does anyone know if they have changed their golden bead material? I am waiting to hear back from them.

Has anyone bought bead materials from several different companies and compared them side by side? I know some companies use 8mm beads ans some use 7mm beads, but some companies don't list which mm they use. I'm wondering how the different ones compare.

Also, is there any company besides Nienhuis who sells replacements for all sizes in the knobbed cylinders. I'm missing #1, #2, and #10 for block 4 (only diameter increases) and #6 out of block 1 (diameter and height increases).

Hi! Sorry no one replied sooner.

Regarding the knobbed cylinders, if the ones you have are from Nienhuis, I would get replacements from them as different brands and different manufacturers would not necessarily fit the ones you have.

Regarding beads, I do not hear good things about Montessori Outlet. I really recommend Alison's Montessori - good quality and very reasonable prices.
