Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was wondering what everyone thought about the new Twenty-Six Letters to Heaven and then comparing it a bit to Catholic ABCs?

I wrote a post on my blog reviewing and comparing them in my mind.

I'm curious how others will use them???

I can't wait for preschool here next year now

Thanks for the review! I was wondering the same thing since I needed a fresh approach to Preschool this year. Now I want both!

Does Catholic ABC's have book lists?

Lara, no it doesn't have any booklists.

I'm going to use both too.

I didn't mention this in my review, but the 26 Letters reminds me of FIAR in a way, by having a math, science, literary skills, art, faith connection to each letter, kwim? Fun!

Thanks, Kacky. I just looked back at your review for the third time. At first, when I looked at 26 letters ( the samples Margot loaded), I was underwhelmed. It looked so..simple. I could gather all those ideas, I thought. Now, suddenly, considering my soon to be 4 year old twins and that I have an about to walk almost 1 year old... I'm thinking, it sure looks simple and put-together with a booklist that is not online and I don't have to cut and paste and I can sit on the floor with and it is all done already. And I can just expand and tweak. So now, I guess I'll be adding it to my list. :)

Ohhhh. I don't normally "do" a formal preschool program, but I might have need for that soon. I am returning to my FIAR with my younger ones bc I need to devote more time to doing than planing. A FIARish program for the preschoolers might be perfect. I have a catholic Little saints preschool program by Blum, but that thing is a bear of teacher prep for a mom of many IMO. It's great. If you have the prep time? Thank for the review.

I have that Little Saints too...you are so right about the prep! Plus I really thought the pictures were not really child friendly...I wouldn't have wanted to attempt some of those pictures as an adult

We are going to throw in some FIAR too next year. I have a soon to be 4yrold dd and a 2 yrold ds. I had sold my old FIAR years and years ago...so I rebought it used this year.
