Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My son who will be 5 in August has an affection for Our Lady of Guadalupe. I am trying to nurture it. It makes sense since she appeared to someone who resides where so many hispanics live now and my son is 1/2 hispanic through his father (but not mexican). Doesn't matter. He really likes her a lot. Anyway we did a craft project where he decorated a Our Lady of Guadalupe coloring page. And then with popsicle sticks we made a grotto for her. It isa little onwheeldy. It is pretty flat and with enough Elmer's glue we got it to all stick together. He wants it on the wall in his room. I don't want to drive a nail for it. I feel bad saying that but I just don't. I would drive a nail for a really nice picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe but not this. I guess that is the problem, I'm a snob but also I'd need 2 nails instead of 1 and the nails could rip the paper esp. with all the popsicle sticks glued on it making it heavy. I could use tape but it might leave a mark. Funtac leaves a mark too. Hmmm... any ideas? Its laying on the dining room table. Not sure how to put it up. Any ideas? Thanks! I have been thinking of getting a nice picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe for his room anyway, maybe for his birthday, or maybe I should let his art work be what is there or maybe both is best. Thanks.

Maybe use the funtac to hang it in a window. Then if there's any residue, you can use a razor blade or windex, googone to get it off. But it won't dye the window blue.

I like the 3M strips that are removable and use them all over the house.

If you're concerned about the wall, do like Maryan suggested and go for the windows!

Having said that, from reading a number of your posts, it sounds like you and your son enjoy crafting a lot. Why not consider hanging a nice hinged shadow box in his room. You can find them at Michael's craft store and purchase with the 40% off coupon (if you're in the States). Anyway, also at Michael's you can find self adhesive magnet tape. Affix magnet tape to the back of the shadow box and purchase some simple, unobtrusive magnets. Now your son can hang any of his craft/artwork for display in his room with no damage to his walls.
