Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am much more of an auditorial learner. I prefer listening to reading. I do read but then i have to often reread to know what I read. I would like a book to read about the montessori method to learn more about the philosophy as suggested in other responses to another thread. I understand that the Maria Montessori's book on the method was translated from Italian to English and it was written about 100 years ago so it is a heavy read. I think I will get lost in it. Anyone have perhaps a more concise book that is more uptodate for me to read and digest please? Thank you!

If you prefer listening, there are some on-line videos here that I think are very interesting!

Montessori in the Classroom

was a very interesting and helpful read for me. It really gives an overview of how Montessori works in an average classroom. It is written in a diary-type style by the author, based on a year in her class. You might be able to get an audio version.

happymama> thank you for those video links!

I found the Hainstock books to be really easy to read. I was able to get them at my local library.

How to Raise an Amazing Child the Montessori Way has a ton of pictures in it and easy explainations.
