I like them personally and one of my sons like them. But I have had 2 sons who really didn't like them because of the perfectionism in themselves, they were really concerned that they couldn't their pictures to look just like the book's picture. I think because they worked so hard on the writing, and that looked great, but the picture didn't seem to "match" in their minds. Anyways, it's been a bust for them.
