Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Just learning about Classical Conversations for the first time, and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to order some of the beginning materials, even though there are no groups meeting in my state.

Has anyone done this?

I'd get the NEW (and greatly improved!!) lesson manual, and also the AUDIO CD. and that could be it!

I'd make my own memory cards, purchase a white board in the largest size at Wal-Mart, and make up a library list week by week with some of the art, science, and history focus as a springboard.
(this is really easy to do, and if you scout around on the CC website, you will find some extra teaching resources, there, too.)

PS, I also think the Veritas Press timeline cards are great, but you can find them for less elsewhere, and or order them used on ebay, as I did!

I second Lisa's recommendations. The new manual is REALLY nice. And it may be worth it to keep checking the CC website as the spring and summer progress to see if any groups are starting in your state - if being a part of a CC community is of interest to you.
