Over the past few days I made my littlest kids a laminated, reusable maze book. They use dry erase markers on it, and it is bound with large key rings.
It came out cuter and more useful than I thought it would, so I thought I would share the idea here in case there are others out there who are tired of wasting printer ink printing out mazes that the little ones finish in minutes.
You can see it here.

That is such a great idea. Thank you. I have all kinds of ideas now. You are so creative. Your kids are blessed - and now so are all of us.

I was just coming here to post: "Has anyone seen Joann's reuseable mazes???" I love it!
BTW Joann -- what do you use for a laminator?

I have a Purple Cow laminator which has had A LOT of use in the last 5 years. Here it is.
You can use any laminating pouches in it also--it tells you to only use Purple Cow brand sheets, but I buy the Staples brand.

You can also use page protecters if you don't have a laminator. Baby wipes are great for cleaning the pages.

Good idea MC... and thanks Joann. I've been wanting a laminator! It cost me $50 last summer to laminate my stack of stuff for the boys at Staples even with 50% off.

I was trying to find other links to print some mazes for my little one and really can't find any. Anyone have some links that would be useful???
Thank you

I am laminator-deprived but I loved this idea so much it inspired a work-around: contact paper! while it may not be as durable but it certainly works for my little scribbler. I don't know how the costs compare in the long run, but it's more economical for me to avoid a laminator at this point.
but best of all is what I was able to do to a maze book that was too advanced for my ds; using contact paper, the pages can be kept in the book and just the images covered. he can work and rework without getting frustrated because it's a mess, and I can even tackle them too! thanks for the inspiration!

I got my Xyron at the local school supply store for 50% off, and I get my laminator rolls at Michael's with my 40% off coupon. One of my best purchases so far! LOL

Our Sam's Club is currently selling a laminator for $25. It will laminate anything up to 12" wide (so it works easily for all those 8 1/2 X 11 papers we print all the time) and comes with 20 pouches (it uses pouches rather than rolls). I bought one and it works beautifully. This has meant huge savings for us when compared to the price of laminating at our local copy store.
Sincerely,
Diana Cunningham
