Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am trying to learn about Montessori in the home, for my little ones especially. They're a high-spirited bunch, and I would like to hear what this approach has to say about training them and ordering their environment. If there's anything about training the middle to older ones to self-direct then I could use that too. I am pretty much suffering from blog fatigue, curriculum fatigue, forum fatigue and Google fatigue, and the limited stuff I have found so far has been, well, I guess I'd call it simplistic--sort of a "Montessori is everything you do in real life" kind of tome. I would like something accessible, applicable, yes, but with a little bit of meat on its bones. Can anyone recommend some reading or resources for me? How or where would you recommend that I begin?

I really like the Gettman book,
Basic Montessori: Learning Activities for under fives
It has a good bit of meat in it without being overwhelming. I especially appreciated the math section. I definitely did not feel like I was wasting my time reading it, like I did with some other books.
I have yet to find anything as good for upper levels, but there are many books I have not read yet.
