Our package from Alison's came in today, and just looking over everything, it mostly looks okay. The thing that bothers me is that the constructive triangles seem chipped on the ends and the paint is chipping off. I don't really think they'll hold up very well for very long.

Does anyone else have these, and if you do, were yours chipped at the ends of the triangles? I think I may call Alison's tomorrow and ask about them, but I dread boxing everything back up to send back if that's what I have to do.

Oh Vicki, that's too bad

I am sure they will be displeased to hear that they are chipped as that is NOT their usual quality. I bought mine from Kid Advance and they are beautiful, but I'm pretty sure they are from the same supplier as Alsion's. Let us know what they do for you and I'd be surprised if they asked you to send them back. I haven't had to return anything of mine that was slighly imperfect

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound so grumpy. I'm just really tired and have a headache. The thought of having to box something up to return it just makes me feel bleah!

Truly, we have felt like it was Christmas this afternoon! We've had such a joy opening up boxes to see what's inside and discovering lots of Montessori treasures. We've ooohed and aaahed over everything, and I've had to really hold my dgs back from wanting to just play with it all! It all looks so cool, especially the knobbed cylinders!

I'll give them a call in the morning and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

I forgot to post yesterday about the fractional triangles and squares that I got from the Bargain Basement section of Alison's. These look great, and what fun too! I've looked again at the constructive triangles, and not all of them have wood that is chipped off at the ends. I wonder if these are just liable to chip off easily due to the thin, pointed ends as they are.
