Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I found this link today, and I'd like ya'll to check and see if we could use this for biomes cards. The images seem good for 3 part cards if we could put them into a set-up in Works for them.

(I know I should be finishing things up I have already started--dh gave me that look this morning like, "Is there an end to this???". Yep, if I can just stay on task... )

Here's the link:

Really nice images on that site. I think they would make great cards. I'd make them but I already have some biome cards I got from (I think) Sarah Sellers before she went pro.

If I had the know-how to resize these, then some way to post them, I'd be glad to work on it. I just have so much trouble trying to resize images! I have a template, but I can't seem to get them to behave and just go right into those neat little boxes!

What information would you put on Biomes cards?

Rachel, I'm no expert, but the idea would be to make cards with pictures of the biomes. Then other cards with definitions to match, title cards ("desert," "Tundra," etc), and then either cards with photos of plants and animals, or little plastic figurines to match to the correct biomes. It is just a sorting/classifying exercise.

OK thanks Theresa... I got as far as the 'typical' 3 part cards, then I was stuck as to what else to put there .
My son is naturally drawn to geography (if I said his favourite part of history was the map work I think you'd get it ), so I was thinking of doing a small Montessori geography centre.

Vicki, I love this site, thank you so much for linking it for us all!! I will be rounding out my Biomes cards with these additional ones, they are beautiful and will go along so nicely with my   Research Guides from Montessori for Everyone, thank you again
