Hi, I'm new here. I've been reading about Montessori for years, and my older dd has gone to Montessori-style Sunday School (Godly Play and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd). Now I'd like to try some Montessori activities at home. I'd especially like things dd 2.5 might like to do while I'm working with dd 7.5. What are some good activities for that age, and how do you present them? How do you keep a little one focused on an activity? For example, if I give her beans to pour, and she names them all and has them play hide and seek and rescue each other from the pouring container, do I just let her play as long as she's busy and happy? How many activities do those of you with little ones need to get through a typical school day?
