Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My family and I went out to the big mall yesterday and I hit pay dirt, I tell ya ;o)

The Discovery Store was having a going out of business sale and they were selling everything at 40-60% off including all fixtures and supplies. I have several clear hard plastic boxes that they use for display purposes at 1. ea. They are all different sizes and shapes. Most even rest on top of one another neatly. One size is 6" square and about 4.5" deep....with several of them being a lot deeper than that. I thought this would be great for holding and storing presentations...too many ideas to list!

In addition, I also purchased several clear hard plastic pieces that hold the signs for displays. These come in several sizes and a few can hold a 5x7 pic of fine art in them. The smaller ones can hold a post card sized reproduction or a recipe card or an activity card...etc. A few of this smaller size have a feature that allows the sign holder to be mounted onto the outside of a shelf (again holding the postcard sized piece of whatever in it)

We also got some pre-viewed videos of places in the world, a hand crank emergency radio and a hand crank flashlight, a really nice electronics kit, a weather station, (couldda got the invisible guy but I knew my toddler would eat his insides...LOL!) ooh...2 deep clear plastic tackle boxes for 2. ea!...and a whole bunch of easels for holding books and art work...everything was dirt cheap!

Thank goodness I had the double stroller with me...we looked hysterical leaving the store...with 8 kids (which included my newborn nephew) and 2 giggling adults...pushing a mountain to the big white van...I think we will be going back for what they have left in 2 weeks..they still have more things to put out after they are done with them. Too bad I don't have any rooms big enough to hold some of the shelving because a few of the pieces that I liked were strong enough to hold an elephant without tipping over!

God love you!

Wow! That is awesome! I would have loved to have been there just to see it all, if not to help buy stuff!

Sweet!
Funny, I was just thinking a few days ago that I should be taking a look at how stores display things for ideas on storage.

Donna Marie

How thrilling!! I am expecting to see pics on your blog please
I just love the image of the double stoller packed to the max, what a pity that the newborn couldn't give up his seat to free up room

Oh, what fun! My kids were just talking about the Discovery Store the other day, and bemoaning the loss of our closest store a couple of years ago.

Congratulations, and enjoy your great finds!
