Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Have you guys checked out all these activities at MWEI!! Oh my goodness, there's enough here to last all my dc the rest of their elementary lives and then some

What all have you worked on here and what are you dc's favorites?? This is very akin to many Charlotte Mason Handiwork activities which we love so much!!

Enjoy!

I have seen this before but forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder!
My ds has done some of the stitching activities and enjoyed them. Reminds me of when I was a kid and we did those string art things with the strings and nails. Did you ever do those? I loved them.
I am thinking of adapting them a bit for dd using burlap and yarn on an embroidery hoop.

I had just printed them out for the notebook - they're awesome aren't they. I was going to put together a handwork basket with scissors and pretty papers.

Well, I was inspired by this thread to put together a handicraft basket for JBug. I hope to make it a regular item in our homeschool, keeping the basket on her shelves, and adding a new activity each week.
You can see a picture of it (along with some other things) at my blog:here

Some other ideas for handwork activities that I've done with my daughter...

Finger knitting which lead to more complicated ones and now knitting with needles
Sewing cards (ds1 does those too)

I know this isn't montessori but have you seen waldorf preschool curriculum It's a free download of unit activities and my the handwork is beautiful. I've done some of these lessons with my children and have really enjoyed them.

I also made 2 trays for my son. 1 is a pouring tray of popcorn gotta go post later

What I was trying finish earlier...

For my son I made 2 trays for him.
I got wood trays from Michals ($2.99 and $3.99) and had them sand them when I got home. Then I did a pouring activity with popcorn and a measuring cup and creamer. If he gets bored with this one then he can pour the pop corn into a small dish and scoop out the popcorn back into the creamer.

The other activity I did was bean sorting. He pours them from a little glass onto a plate and then sorts them into different piles and then pours them back into the cup. He's doing great with both of these things.

I also got the Kumon cutting book for him and he has done very well with it. DD loved the cut and pasting ones too. I think they are very nice in that the difficulty level increases. DD did the folding book last year and did pretty well with that as well.
