Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dad sent me a wonderful article a woman wrote about being out with her multi-ethnic family. I have included the link. I hope you find it as thought provoking as I did.

Growing up, my family was in the newspaper a couple of times because of the multi ethnic adoptions and impairments. As an adolescent, I was so embarrassed by the attention. Not by my family, just by the attention.

We didn't have a car so we walked everywhere. One of us pushing the wheelchair, three of us leading the two blind boys and Erica, who could walk, but fell often.

What a conspicuous sight we where!
