After some rather worrying weeks of waiting for a specialized ultrasound, we found out our baby looks to be alright.
We also decided to double check the gender this time around. (I've always just "known" what gender each child is, so we never wanted to find out for certain during the ultrasounds.)
This time, I really wanted to be sure so that we can prepare as much as possible.
Now we really need to come up with a name! We already have Emma Cecilia & Elisabeth Grace.
Would you share you favorite girl names, both first and middle? My mind is fairly blank!
Thanks!

Olivia?
Veronica?
Isabelle?
I always wanted a Veronica! If I could only get my dh to agree...
So glad all is well with baby.

Veronica Mary is my first choice if our little one is a girl. She'll be born right around the feast of the archangels, so Gabrielle is a close second. Also on my list: Clare, Catherine, Cecilia (I see you already have that one, though, as a middle name), Beatrice and Bridget.
There is still a chance that the baby is a boy--the technician wouldn't commit. And, it's the boys names I'm having trouble with! Dh has never disagreed with my choice of girl names, but he has very strong opinions on boy names.
Oh, the middle names: will likely be either Mary or Teresa.

Elisabeth,
My choices are Coeli, Eilish and Siena. Of course this is not dh's choices Although had Saxon been a girl he was going to be Siena Bernadette.
And of course don't forget my girls already
Chiara Marie
Mariah Therese
Genvevieve Rose
and our little Gabrielle d'Angelique

We have an ancestor named Marie Angeline (I think it's pretty, but too confusing with Mary)
God bless,
Mary K

We have:
Patricia Esperanza
Emily Erin (her green eyes looked so Irish!)
Jennifer Isabel (we didn't pick this name, but chose to keep it. Really like Isabel, though)
My next would have been Sofia. Middle name either Estella or Angela.

We have:
Isabella Maria
Juliana Christina
Sophia Angelina
If we ever have anymore girlies, I'm partial to:
Angelina Lucia or
Giannina (I have a cousin with this name)
I was skimming through a book yesterday by a woman named Immaculee (accent over the first e). I thought that was an absolutely lovely name. She lived during the Rwandan genocide and had a brother who was killed. His name was Vianney - which I thought was totally cool.
But I know, we're talking about girl names...

Oh I love Zelie too!
My two girls are Isadora (after her grandpa Isadore and we celebrate the Feast of St. Isadore the farmer),
and Maryrose. Maryrose is my mother's name. I love how it combines our Blessed Mother's name with the flower that is most noted in her honor!
Looking forward to see what you come up with!

I've meant to come back and thank you for all of your suggestions!
We have always used names that are both saint's names & family names.
We are thinking Mary Catherine or Catherine Marie & calling her Cate.

I've always wanted an Elizabeth and a Mary to along with my first dd. This next baby will surely be one or the other! I love all of your name choices - Rebecca and Emily are also on our long list.

Ohhh, I just love thinking about baby girl names (and baby boy names for that matter as well)!! We always combine saint names and family names, too. If our newest chickie is a girl, dh wants
Sarah Elizabeth (so he can call he SarahBeth like in the country music song he likes)...funny, but this is also my best friend's first choice (they both picked it without talking to each other--is it a "sign"???)
I'd like Sarah Kathleen (call her SarahKate with the Kathleen being for my mom) but dunno yet.
Other possibilities:
Mary (I've always wanted a Mary...)
Elizabeth
Caroline
Rebekah
I need to hurry up and choose a really good book to read during my pregnancy (about a girl saint) so I'll know what the middle name will be...

Ok , I'll reveal the names of my 5 dd:
Meghan Elisabeth
Katherine Claire (wanted the K version of Katherine, as she is called Katie)
Alison Hope (born in a hairy stretch when Hope was a definite virtue to cling to)
Claire Moira (can't have too much of a good thing with the re-use of Claire)
Margaret Therese.
If I had another girl (not happening at my age), I would go with Nora Ellen.
Just some more ideas.
Can't wait to find out who your newest little one is!
Peace,
Nancy

And they are the most precious girls I know!

I love the girls name and I love the boys name Maria....that boys name has really got me thinking....
I love Immaculee too as if we had another little girl it would be Annuncia Mary, in honor of the Annuciation.
We have a Grace Eunice
and Angela Gabrielle
These are great threads, it helps you with your own running list...
