Maria is 11 months old. She is at the height of cuteness. All those kissable rolls and dimples. The happy smile, laughing, clapping and all the charming things they do as they explore the world.

Of course we all want to kiss and cuddle her. But she has no time for such frivolities. There is mobility and hand co-ordination to master. Paper to chew, toys to taste.... she just squirms away when we try to snuggle her.

Thanks be to God for night time nursing. At least I get to snuggle her then, though I actually feel guilty because I am the only one who gets that pleasure.

Older babies are so much fun!

They really don't sit still for long at that age do they Bridget? I love the older babies as well! They are so darling and plump and huggable (when you can catch them! )

I think nighttime is such a magical time, that sleepy time when they are just dozing off is my favorite time with any age of child but especially the older babies. They look so cherubic!

Having them around makes me obsess to keep my floors clean because they pick up the tiniest specks off the floor and put them in their mouths!

I love how active Ms. Maggie is now!! She is soo much fun with her walking half way across the room, playing "soo big", playing peek-a-boo, and so much more. I must say I love nursing her to sleep, but unlike you super Mom's, once she is asleep for the night I do not like nursing her again at night . I like my break from ALL of my kids including Maggie and that only happens when they are all bedded down for the night. I guess I need to work on that

I have often said my favorite thing in the whole world is to cuddle up with a nursing baby on a cold winter morning. Nothing really compares to that quiet exchange of affection between momma and baby. (I especially love when she plays with her foot and hums while nursing! )
