Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Not a text, but I found House Rules by Jodi Picoult gave me a huge understanding and knowledge. Also my friend Trish, a member here, who has two boys with Asperger's has written some incredible posts. And here is Tony Attwood's site. No books I'm sorry, but Tony's site is sure to have great recs.

Anita,

I recommend books by Jed Baker. I have three or four of them. I especially love the picture social skills books.

I'd check out reviews on books about Asperger's on amazon. I have lived around autism all my life so I have not read any general books recently and I am not up to date on the best introductory books.

For specific work in pragmatic skills, check out Super Duper Inc. and Linguisystems.

Hoping the new diagnosis helps you and him!

In Christ,
