This year has been the hardest, and I am near a breakdown and thinking of Catholic School for next year. I need a serious shoulder to cry on.

HUGS.
Cry away... we've all been there, are going there or are coming back from there. Some days and weeks and months are just harder than others.
I will pray for your peace of mind and that God will refresh you as you contemplate what to do next year.
If there is anything specific we can pray for or help you with, please let us know!

May the Lord give you comfort, healing, grace, wisdom and discernment. Been through many a season like the one you are going through. God knows every cry of your heart. Praying for you and your family.

How long have you been homeschooling and what are the ages of your children? I agree, it can be very hard. I will pray for you.

No, it's not time to give up. No, no, no. You can do this!
It may be time to take a break for a week, purge some junk, make an easy menu for meals, pare schooling down to basics or get the kids into a good chore routine. Maybe you just need a nice dinner date or walk with your dh so you can talk over your troubles.
Certainly, it's time to get to the sacraments and ask God to show you where you need to make adjustments and to flood you with the grace to carry on.
But it's NOT time to give up.

Yes, Mrs. Murphy, pray for grace. Like so many others I have been there too. This year has been incredibly hard for me but it seems that God floods me with grace every so often and I have that needed strength to go one more day. The year is almost over for us and I know a long summer break will be just what we need. Maybe it's time to take your summer break and spend some time in prayer, as others have said, asking the Lord what he would have you do.
I do have one child in school. He goes to the Catholic highschool and it's turned out fine. As a matter of fact it's been a blessing. I thought we would homeschool all the way through, but I believe it is God's plan that this one goes to school, for whatever reason. Ever since we've made this decision, I don't feel comfortable telling me not to put their kids in school. I will say this though... There was nothing negative about the whole decision. I mean, I did not feel burned out, he was not being bad, he was getting his schoolwork done and doing well ... It was a very good year. Only because he was a responsible young man ( and still is) did I feel peaceful about his going to school.
When it seems like life is falling apart around me, I don't think it's God trying to tell me something. I usually think it's Satan trying to keep me from doing what God wants.
Pray about it. Talk to a priest (we did!). As Bridget says, get to the sacraments.
I will pray for you too.

We have had many setbacks during the last two years as we have continued on our home learning adventure. Go ahead and cry. I've cried enough to fill our well twice! It will make you feel better. Then you can start making decisions.
Sending prayers.

As Michaela said, you have gone through so much this year. You are in my continued prayers.
I have had times (this year) when I have wanted to throw in the towel, but I am glad that I didn't. Cry, pray, and cry some more. If you have Adoration, kneel before the Blessed Sacrament and pour your heart out. I have done this and it helps. If you don't have Adoration, tell your husband that you need to remain in the church after Mass each Sunday for some quiet prayer and then thank God for all the blessings that he has given you and pour your heart out to Him. He will listen. Speak to your husband and to your pastor. Don't give up!
One of my recent favorite quotes from St. Francis de Sales is "Kiss frequently the crosses which the Lord sends you, and with all your heart, without regarding of what sort they may be ; for the more vile and mean they are, the more they deserve their name. The merit of crosses does not consist in their weight, but in the manner in which they are borne. It may show much greater virtue to bear a cross of straw than a very hard and heavy one, because the light ones are also the most hidden and condemned, aud therefore least conformable to our inclination, which always seeks what is showy." Reflecting on it really helps me.
