Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Moms~

I feel compelled to look into this and know next to nothing about it.

Our ped is very holistic, and on our last visit a few months ago, suggested I look into this for my dd.

Maybe it will give me more insight into her behavior...maybe not...I'm not sure how much credence there is to this, regarding my own dd.

But if any of you have any good books you can recommend, that would be great!

The best one I've read is The Out of Sync Child.

We have just begun to travel this path for our son. He was adopted at age 4 and all alongg I',ve "known" something wasn't quite right. We are grateful for an answer and have found a great pediatric therapy clinic. That being said, I've found myself feeling some grief and sadness about it. I wish he didn't have this cross to carry--he's had enough tough luck already.
I bought 'The Out of Sync Child" book also--it is turning out to be helpful. I will pray for you as you begin to look into this.

I am reading the out of sync child as well for our 4 year old. He was evaluated today and this is something we have been dealing with for a while. He also will most likely get a spectrum diagnosis though.

Can anyone recommend where you buy your OT supplies for a decent price?
Our insurance will only teach us how to give our son OT not do it themselves.

I put this little video on my blogwhich my OT told me about. It's great for family and friends who need a quick explanation.

I agree too with The Out of Sync Child. If she does have this, I also recommend the Out of Sync child has fun which contains activities to help these children.
