I wasn't sure where to post this, but I wanted to update you all since you have all been praying and been so helpful and supportive during this time.
Wednesday night, at 11.4 weeks, I experienced round one of the process. It was an intense 3 hours of contractions and bleeding. Then a peaceful nights rest. Thursday afternoon brought round two, which was brutal, intense, painful, and scary. I lost a crazy amount of blood and dh ended up taking me to the ER after I kept blacking out. We were there for 3 hours when we signed ourselves out AMA. I am home now and resting. I know I am anemic, I lost a lot of blood, and I am tired, so tired.
I never imagined it would be this intense. Thanks for all of the prayers and support.

Oh, dear, Lisa... Praying that you get the rest you need, eat lots of *blood-building* foods, and just let yourself mourn. This has been quite an ordeal.
Peace,
Nancy

I'm so sorry it was painful and scary, Lisa. You have all been in our prayers and continue to be so. I wish I lived closer! Let me know if there is a way I can help from a distance...

Lisa,
I'm praying. Do be gentle on yourself!!! This takes a HUGE toll...both physically and emotionally! Healing comes...but won't be rushed.
and so many more prayers for the road ahead. May your dear sweet saint intercede powerfully for his mama!

good solid red meats
iron supplement and B vits
keep on your regular prenatals
fluids!!! water water and more water.. it won't replace the blood loss but will replace the fluid lost and will help keep your blood pressure up.
Stay down as much as you can.. your body heals with rest.
From what I found in my reseach it takes 3-6 weeks for your body to rebuild blood supply. For myself, I was down HARD for 1 week.. but could tell I was starting to recover by week 2.. week 3 was doing most things but it was hard.. week 4 wasn't too bad.. and 6 weeks was mostly normal.
If the bleeding doesn't resolve fairly well in a reasonable amount of time you might want to be seen.. I struggled with the bleeding hanging around.. and around 6 weeks was when I ended up with a d&c for retained placental tissue. Luckily, I did not have any infection, it was a fluke that it was discovered. But just so you know to keep a watch out for that.. and especially to watch out for any infection. I wouldn't take my temps until you've recovered from the fluid loss.. but after that.. occationally taking your temp and watching for a high temperature that could indicate infection woudln't be a bad thing.

Will continue to pray for you, Lisa.
I also drank a lot of raspberry tea at the recommendation of a friend who seems to know her stuff when it comes to herbs.
