I just need to have others who understand my joy. We had a glorious day today, really the first in so long I cannot tell you.......anyway, we had the honor of having unexpected guest for dinner, 2 Sisters and a Priest from the Franciscans of the Immaculate. Father blessed our home with POWERFUL prayers of protection, then we all went of to a private Mass, where Father allowed my son to serve for the first time. I sat and wept with joy. I was overcome with sincere gratitude for this holy order, and Our Lady for the grace to have my son serve at the altar. What a perfect honor for any mother to see her son serving at Our Lords altar.
Today was one of those days we long for in the strife of life, a day I needed, to know, heaven was attentive to my measly prayers.
Thanks for rejoicing with me.

I was unable to get over here and post right away, but I've been rejoicing since I read this. My son only recently served at the altar of Our Lord for the first time, and it was just an amazing experience and consolation for me...it still is as he serves! I think it is such a joyful consolation for a mother to see her son in service to the King of Kings!!! So, I completely understand your joy and elation!
What a truly blessed evening you had with your guests - the home blessing, and then Mass and the joy of seeing your son serve! May the memory of this treasured day be vivid to you when other days are more thunderstorm and flood!

That order is wonderful. I'm so glad they were able to come to your house for a blessing. It sounds like it was a beautiful day and what a great memory for your son.
