I had no idea how many of my decisions as a parent in the very beginning of my children's lives, I would have to keep "dealing with" as they enter their adult years.....

That is crazy!! I guess we better start gathering records for Carter and Ronan and get their passports now.

ummm wow.. we'd have Church records too
But here's something interesting.. I've had children born in CA and AZ and OR.. On the birth certificates, CA and AZ show they were born at a residence (vs hospital or birthcenter) but OR does NOT.

Many places that need information like that will also take a copy of a family Bible stating when you were born or a notarized letter from someone at the birth. Our boys had no problem with getting passports, but my husband's grandmother had to use her aunt's testimony when she needed a passport.

You know...I kind of wondered if it had been a DIFFERENT person processing his passport...if it would have just gone through like it should have.

Unbelievable, Chari. I have so so many friends in CA who have had all their children via home birth, and I did it once myself. This is entirely ridiculous.
