Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am hoping someone has had this experience or can help me out in some way. Our ds age 11 (turning 12 in Jan.) has been sleep walking almost every night, sometimes 3 times per night. This started just after he turned 10 and has only gotten worse. My Dh thought maybe he wasn't sleeping well, his mattress was not great, etc.. so we bought him a new one, new bedding, made better bedtime routines (more calming, etc) and it did not help one bit.

My youngest is going on 9 but I am up 2 or 3 times per night putting oldest back in bed, feels like I have a baby!!! I am exhausted, he is obviously not sleeping well, is there anything I can do for him? Is this possibly puberty related? Common at all for pre-teens to go through? Please help if you can! Thank you and May God bless you all.

I don't have any experience with this, but if you Google "sleepwalking preteen boys" it seems to be very common.

I have had this happen with most of my boys. Mine all outgrew it pretty quickly. My almost nine year old has done it a few times-these are the same kids that also tend to talk in their sleep.

Joann,
I was wondering about that... the connection between sleep talking and sleep walking. My 4 year old is a big talker in his sleep. I guess I will have to keep my eyes on him when he is older.

Thank you, DUH, Why don't I ever think to google it?!? You are both a blessing to me! I truly appreciate it!

Yes, he talks in his sleep as well!

Just wanted to add that my ds is turning 12 in Jan. as well and also has been doing this! I never thought to google it either. Between him haunting around at night and my other ds's two year old molars, I feel like I'm back at that "newborn" level of sleep.
