My son stood at the window this morning and said, "Wow. Mom look." I looked out and his bus was picking the kids up down the street. He said, "This is really happening." LOL I think it just hit him that he really wasn't going back to school this year.

It was a very exciting...and scary moment for us.

Please Lord, give me the patience, wisdom, and humor to teach my own children. **breathe in breathe out*

Every time you see that school bus, thank God that your child is not on it. In my experience, that is where some of the worst stuff happens!

I second that Mary! Our ds had a terrible school bus experience his 2nd grade year. I didn't know the half of it until we homeschooled and ds wasn't afraid to tell on the kid. He's 14 now and still remembers the experience. Yes, wave at the bus as it goes by and cheer that you have your dc at home!
