Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yesterday was a hectic day. I was running around like a crazy woman trying to fit 4 days worth of errands and appointments into 1 day. My oldest son had his 6th grade graduation (his last day in public school!!) and then we had 15 minutes to get from his school across town to a dr. appt.

Traffic was jam-packed coming out of the school. It seemed like everyone was deliberately stopping in front of me to make me late (lol..ever have those days?). I was feeling rushed and aggitated...tapping my foot and the steering wheel, thinking "come on come on come on come on"...when my youngest son (2 1/2) says, "MOVE IT PEOPLE!" at the top of his lungs. We had our windows down and this elderly couple that was walking by us to go to their car was like . I said, "Oh I am so sorry. He didn't mean it...um..we were just late and uh..." They just kind of glared at me and walked off.

I was sitting there gripping the steering wheel, feeling bad that my child yelled at some elderly people, when my ds12 started laughing. I said, "IT. IS. SO. NOT. FUNNY!" He said, "Well, it's a little funny." Then he started laughing REALLY hard. I couldn't help it. I started laughing so hard that I was crying...then I was the one blocking traffic because I couldn't see to drive.

DS2 kept looking at me and his brother like, "What is so funny?"

I guess God knew I needed a laugh...hopefully those poor grandparents aren't too upset with us.

LOL Yes! The most embarrassing part of it was that he sounded JUST LIKE ME. I'm not good with traffic. I guess I'll have to work on that.

Oh goodness, I hope that when I'm blessed to be a grandma that I'll do nothing but smile and nod at moms in positions like this! My 12yo ds is the first to see humor in my tense moments...I need that...but don't always like it .

Love,

And I was thinking, where did he learn to say such a thing?! My kids would never say something like that! Oh no!

Glad you found a light moment in the middle of it all.
