I am looking for someone (or two) who has six kids 8 and under. You can have some older too, but you have to have at least six 8 and under. I can't tell you anything else here but if you fit the criteria, PM me and I'll fill you in on the details.

Do you have to be on these boards? Do they need to be homeschooling? I have a close friend who has 7 children 8 years old and younger, if you need some more people.

are you aware of the mega-momys yahoo group? I left them some time ago because I just really hate email groups, but that group was a branch off of the momys groups. I think you had to have at least 5 or 6 kids closely spaced like that. They were a great bunch of ladies as I recall. At the time we were all reading the momys and feeling a bit out of touch? kwim? I think there were about 8 or 12 or us on it at the time.
Having 8 kids very closely spaced is really very different from 8 kids a few years apart.

I remember one of the topics that got it started very clearly.
The MOMYS were discussing meal times. One mega-momy said she cut all the food prior to cooking or after so she can simply serve it to all and sit down to eat herself. Several were saying they thought that a bit silly and it'd be easier to just alternate seating between an older and a younger so that the older kids can help serve/cut the younger ones plates. Not a bad idea at all.
Only problem was, at the time, all us mega-momys were dealing with the fact that NONE of our 5+ children were old enough to do that with much success! I mean if you have a 7 yr old, 6, 4, 3, 2, and 1 year old - can you really expect the 7 yr old to cut up and serve for the 1 yr old properly?

I can relate to that Martha! Potluck meals with serving lines can be such a nightmare!!! Dh and I go in and we do two full plates each then divide onto plates for the dc, then one of us goes back to get a plate for Mom and Dad, while the other tries to make sure the small ones don't spill or anything.
At home here we're lucky to get a warm meal after the dishing out!
