Boy, the marketing guys are doing a number on my ds. This is the first movie he has wanted to see in the cinema. I have searched my movie review sites and I don't get much info. It is PG. That is about all I get worth anything. And it isn't worth much. Some PG's are fine, others are 
Anyone have any info on the "stuff" in it. Language, violence, and the other stuff a 10 year old should not see--if you know what I mean  Also, dd who is 5 would most likely come along.
He is ready for opening day...I think I would prefer baseball.

I have seen trailers for it in the theaters and we decided not to let our 10yo dss see it. They have seen the Star Wars movies and the Lord of the Ring movies, but there was some questionable stuff in the Speed Racer trailers. I don't really mind the action and some of the violence if it is obviously fantasy violence, but the Speed Racers movie looks like it has some pretty steamy scenes in it. At the very least, it has inappropriately dressed girls in it. It also looks very fast (gee, ya think, witha name like that?  ) and flashy and I think it would be visually overwhelming for me, let a lone my kids! Anyway, that's my opinion. If anyone goes to see it and decides it's a good movie, please let us know! My kids are pretty mad at me that I won't let them go. Although we are going to see Prince Caspian opening night. Wouldn't miss that!

Yeah, it is why we have the PG rule.....I think he needs to be older than 10!

Kids in Mind just did their review of Speed Racer. I like their reviews because it tells exactly what happens in reference to sexuality, violence, etc. That helps me make better decisions for my kiddos.
My almost 6yo was very interested after seeing a trailer -- but he won't be seeing it in the near future!
