My oldest son is being confirmed one hour from now. I can't be there. I still have very sick little ones who need me at home. I am so proud of him, so very proud and excited for him, I wish I could be there. I am offering my sadness and suffering for his continued growth in virtue. I keep taking comfort in the thought that our Holy Father was baptized without his mother present.

I am so sorry for your loss too, Lisa  . You are an awesome mama and Nicholas knows that you are doing for his siblings what you have done for him time and time again...you ARE with him in the deepest sense.

Thank you all, you have such understanding on how a mothers heart works! :) It's been a glorious day. He smells like he did the day he was baptized - but now rather than giving him the name Nicholas Anthony B, he chose the name Nicholas Anthony Ignatious B. - a soldier of Christ!
