Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I picked this little board book up from Tuesday Morning called One Baby Jesus. It's a Protestant title, but it's the 12 Days of Christmas song broken down to all the characters (animals and people) in the Nativity scene. DS who is almost 2 LOVES it! I sing it to him, but he likes just reading it through and also just looking at the pictures. The pictures are beautiful!

I had also found at a garage sale The Little Drummer Boy by Ezra Jack Keats...so we are singing Christmas carols all year round....he just loves these books and songs.

I had boxed up my Easter and Christmas books and put the children's books in, but I find he wants to read them year 'round. What do you do about this? I like reinforcing the story of Christmas at this age, but will he be tired of the story by the time the season comes?

We usually read some Christmas books all year. Those favorite ones just can't seem to get back into the Christmas boxes.

I have found in Nov. I put them all away (in my closet) and get them out for the Feast of Christ the King. This way there is a few weeks without any Christmas book before the stacks and stacks are brought out for Dec.

I box mine up because we take a curriculum break and only do advent during December. There is something really special about pulling out old favorites and getting to read them again.
