Does anyone know of a place to get those family car decals at a reasonable price? I have found some but they are $5 a piece for the adults and $3-4 a piece for children. That adds up when you have a large crew. I did find the fish for a reasonable price ($1 adult and .60 for kids) but wanted people.

I know what you mean! I tried the people decals I came across online a few months back and by the time I got everyone in my cart, we were up to $50 something!! I've been considering the fish also.

Oh, Lisa! I want them, too............I am always jealous when I see others with them. I think it is an nice, easy witness to the world CONSTANTLY and in-their-face about chilren being a blessing. Now, if LARGE families could just AFFORD them!
BTW, I am aware I have a "small" family ..........it is just that SIX is beyond the general public's understanding. Just so YOU know, Lisa and Lisa. You two have large families.....I am medium
Let me know if you find anything! Hey........maybe we need to find a Catholic homeschooling family to create these so WE can afford them ........anyone game???
HOW to you make them? Maybe a high school kid could do it as a home job?

Oh my gosh...... DH came home the other day and described these to me and said he wanted them for the van. I had no idea WHAT he was talking about. I found a couple websites at about the price you said above. But, then DH said...."no those aren't right, you can't specify HEIGHT on them." He wants all the girls to go DOWN a bit in height, NOT all the same height, which is what they would be b/c they only have baby, girl and teen. Aaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!
So, I'm actually searching for them. I'll post if I find anything.
FYI - I also order our christmas return labels from Amazing Labels....with the members of the family. They only go up to SEVEN people. So, after this baby, if we have another.....no more personalized family labels for us! What's wrong with them? Five kids and that's IT?

I thought I would include the link for the fish if anyone is interested. It is not Catholic; protestant, but very pro-family.

Chari, you are too funny. Actually, I heard a long time ago in Catholic circles that 1-3 was considered small, 4-6 medium and 7+ was large.

Just a word of caution on these; if they're the kind where you can put the kids' names underneath the little figures, be careful! A local news channel did a report on how moms didn't realize that by leaving the family car parked in the driveway with the kids' names clearly visible, that a pedophile could learn the names (and in some cases, the relative ages/schools/sports interests etc.) of the kids who lived there.
Of course, the report focused on people who had maybe two children in the car, so it was easier for a stranger to pretend to know the child ("Hi, you're Ashley, right? I think you play soccer at my daughter's school...) but any time a child's name is made available and visible to the general public there's a risk involved.
Just FWIW...

Suzanne, I've found another place and the limit is 7! I noticed from the link Lisa shared of the fish, that when you have another baby, you let them know and they send you another fish for FREE! :) Pretty cool.
Chari, you are funny. I don't feel like we have a big family, not really, until, I venture down to the basement and take a look at the LAUNDRY!! :lol

I wouldn't want names either. My son once wore a sweatshirt that was passed on to us from another family with the name DAVID on the front. (not his name!) He LOVED that sweatshirt and it cracked me up that people probably thought his name was David! LOL!

We have a decal with all 10 of us... cost be hanged!
It looks good on the back of the airport van, we get lots of stares on the highway. Its a GREAT addition to all of our pro-life bumper stickers on the BIG van. For Pete's sake, it's a witness to life. Just pay for it! :-)
The only problem is- we need to add another baby now!
Peace,
Macmom

If anyone finds a site where you can get the kids in different heights, would you please post the link?

Just another idea, though not a cheap one...We got family decals at Disneyland last year. Mom and Dad are taller, all the children are the same height. Mom, Dad and boys have mickey mouse ears on, the girls are dressed like princesses. My 2 yo loves to look at them! They are on his side of the car and he likes to point to each sticker and name them. :)

Marie C. posted some that look like ours- they come in different heights- so from the teenage daughter down to the baby they look like us and the kids. :-)

I was wondering with the stick people, what do you do as your family grows? Say if you get a toddler, then go on to have more babies, it would never work out, kwim?
