Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

It's just so exciting for me to see my son (almost 2) to love the picture books. He really enjoys reading and listening. We just moved into a new single family home from a townhouse. I haven't unpacked all his books, but put aside some of his favorites, and one new book was the classic The Little House by Virginia Burton. I had tried months ago, but it was too much for him...he wasn't interested and we put it aside.

I read it to him today before his nap....he's been fascinated by the search for a new house and now we have one. So I pulled this book out telling him it was like our house -- he was just enthralled. He got up from his nap and started "reading" it to me...showing me the pictures of the moon and the sun and the Little House.

It just warms my mother's heart when he shares the love of the same books I love.

That is so sweet! I remember when my ds would sit and flip through his books and show me pictures. Now, he wants chapter books read and read and read. It is wonderful to see that love of reading blossom!
