I was struck anew with the beauty of teenhood yesterday. My dd burned a CD for me for Mother's Day. She chose songs from our CDs based on what I like and the meaning of the title and the lyrics and sentiment and more... She bundled the songs in a way that together they tell a story. The story is full of memories, bitter and sweet, and ultimately hope and gratitude.
I honestly believe that only a teen could have produced such a beauti-full project. Only my teen could have listened to me and my/our music all these years and told our story. From the technical aspect of burning to the sentimental choices to the pretty packaging, only a teen's mature skill and sweet, tender heart could have produced such a gift. OK, I'll stop  now  .
The teen years can be so full of challenges, yet these moments of sweetness and maturity remind me who our teens are...really.
