At the library this afternoon, I came across Pitter and Patter
It's a beautiful picture book about the water cycle, watersheds and water in habitats. Two raindrops, Pitter and Patter fall and each travels a different direction. They each go through different habitats, greeting the animals as they move along. They meet up back in the ocean and evaporate to fall again another day. It's very sweetly written and beautifully illustrated. There is text at the back explaining the water cycle, watersheds and water in habitats. There are also follow up activities. It's probably appropriate for preschool through first or second. If I still had that age group, I would definitely buy this book.
