Oh, I am beside myself....I just went to our local independent bookstore, and this is what I found.....a counting book based on Pride and Prejudice that is the sweetest, most whimsical book.....”1 English Village” “2 Rich Gentlemen” (drawing of men labeled Mr. Bingley Mr. Darcy) and so on.....you have to see the illustrations, love it!!

If someone had bought this for me at Lily’s baby shower, I would have had one of those epic squealing scenes that only happen in sitcoms....bad sitcoms, only I would have really meant it, not like the fake squealing in those awful Disney series we always get stuck watching in waiting rooms at doctors’ offices. Alright already, just go check out the book and buy it for your baby girls, and all women pregnant with girls!!!

Very sweet. When I first saw those were coming out, I was afraid they were trying to retell the *story* in a children's book and thought it ridiculous. A counting book is a cute idea.

I imagine that *I* would love the book much more than I see it becoming a baby's favorite book , but I also figure that after being the lone female, increasingly outnumbered for the past 8 years, if I ever have a girl, I'll be allowed a certain bit of my own girly self-indulgence.

Ya’ know Miss Lily was my fifth....after four boys.... I bought the book although she is a bit past counting books, the illustrations are just so perfect.
