I found one of the original 1977 prints of A Time to Keep: The Tasha Tudor Book of Holidays by Tasha Tudor. I thought I had the book at home, but the pictures in the one I found today were so vibrant, it was almost like a different book.

So I bought it, brought it home and compared. The other on is the 1996 Simon and Schuster reprint. Perhaps only my copy is bad, but the pictures are all washed out compared to the 1977 Rand McNally version. Faces are more clear, colors more vibrant -- it does almost look a different book.

So I'm just recommending if you're buying this book, perhaps stick to the used 1977 versions. There seems to be quite a few inexpensive used versions available.

Just my own two cents.

That's true of many reprinted books. I have my original I received for my 6th birthday in 1977. :) One of our family's favorites.
