I mentioned in my picture perfect thread that I am working right now on compiling a master list of all the best places we love to buy good used (or new) children's books.
Can you add yours?
Amazon
Garage Sales
Goodwill
Half-Price Books
.... Thanks, Paula!
BookCloseouts... an old standby for me, plus right now they have free shipping on all orders over $35

When looking for a used book or out of print book, I always start at www.addall.com/used.
God bless,
Christine

I always go to http://bookfinder.com. I usually start there to see if a book is in print or not, and what the going rate. You can set it up so it includes the price of shipping, too. The search engine searches half.com, amazon.com, abebooks.com, and all the other book places. (Similar to addall in Christine's post, but I like this format better.)
I also make great finds at used book sales.

Bookfinder and addall.com both look to be hugely helpful.
I am collecting all these and making a giant sticky, which will hopefully appear sometime in the near future.
Keep the ideas coming!

addall is my absolute favorite. i've shopped through them for years, and they have never failed me. i wish they'd add book condition though in the search results.

I've unsubscribed because I was tempted to add every book sale within an hour of us to our calendar!

I have found some OOP titles at reasonable prices at alibris.com. Prices are comparable or below Amazon's. They also have an option to notify you if a book you are looking for arrives in stock.

I just posted a new list of where to buy used books at the top of this forum. If you have a source to add, please post it to this thread and I will move it up
top.
Thanks!
