Could you please recommend a few book titles/authors to captivate a 15 mo boy?
I started a thread a little bit ago about my DS really not enjoying reading/being read to. Since I have made a few changes (thanks ladies for your suggestions), he has really taken more to it. Now I just need to find some book that he will really enjoy.
His current favorite author is Byron Barton. Are there any others you all could suggest???? TIA!!!!!

Since you already are aware of Barton books, which are favorites here, too, my very young ones always love Brown Bear, Brown Bear, laugh hysterically at Red Hat, Blue Hat, enjoy I Love You Through and Through, and can always be entertained by any photo style book of animals, especially farm animals, and any John Deere tractor books.
Maybe those are good for starters?
God bless,
Christine

Sandra Boynton! Her books are so fun! We have a bunch.
Audrey Wood- we like The Napping House, Silly Sally, and one about a mouse, a bear and a red, ripe strawberry.
A new book I found at the library is called "Good dog, Carl". I thought it was hysterical, but some of the reviews at amazon.com seemed to think it was a bad influence on little ones. It has a dog helping a toddler do all sorts of things: jump on the bed, play dress-up, go down the laundry chute, swim in the fish tank, make chocolate milk, and so on.

A big yes to Sandra Boynton...the biggest laugh around here is Barnyard Dance...you have to read it with a bit of a southern accent!
