Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So who's the wise guy who just went through and requested all the books from Dawn's awesome November booklist !! I jumped the gun and got the books when the post first came out, but now I can only keep them for one cycle because they're all requested . Of course you know I'm just kidding. I just found it funny that my only books that wouldn't renew are the ones from the list and I know it's got to be one of you !

I'm not in Loudoun, but I do find that I get the same problem in Prince William. I have to find a lonesome, isolated place to get all the library books I want when I want them. I guess that's the trade off -- have like minded friends or be lonely and surrounded by books.

I was just laughing to myself about this the other day. Now that Sweeness-and-Light-Meredith is in town.....I'm going to have competition for all my library requests!

At which point you hope the library system is as good as it is in VA!

Speaking of Loudoun, there is a family there in need of help. She's just converted to Catholicism, and doesn't know any one very well at her new church; her old church is ignoring her.

Anyone know of any groups in the area that could lend a hand? I think she might just need some respite right now.

She has 4 Down Syndrome children, and just learned that her husband has a MRSA infection in his knee which will prevent him from walking for at least 4 months. She's a good bloggy friend but I'm too far away to help directly, so I thought I'd try to find any local volunteers/groups that could help.
