I was first turned on to Cooper Edens when my 7th grade teacher gifted me with this book:

.If You're Afraid of the Dark, Remember the Night Rainbow

It is so sweet and simple and quirky... perfect for me. It also makes a fantastic gift or gift supplement to people. There are sequels to this book, but I've not had the chance to check them out.

But I DO want to put in a plug for the Mother Goose book Cooper Edens edited: The Glorious Mother Goose. We have seen MANY Mother Goose books around here and there are some good ones. But this one is THE BEST. EVER. SERIOUSLY. I will never buy another Mother Goose book as long as I live unless this one wears and tears beyond use and it will PROMPTLY be replaced by a new one! Am I being too vague here?!      This edition has the most exquisite compilation of the best illustrators for each rhyme... two classic illustrator's version of each rhyme. It is superb.
