as): Taiga, Tundra, Tropical Rain Forest, Desert, Temperate Deciduous Forest, and I can't remember the other one. Anyway, I used them as Geography for my 5th grader. I wouldn't call them living books, but they are fairly short (under 60 pages). I had dd read a section each day and write a narration, about 20 minutes all together. She protested that they were boring, but she comes up with both tidbits and insights based on what she learned in these books, so they must have impressed her on some level!
