I just blogged about this but seems Harper Collins will be revising the whole Little House series, including revising those written by our own Lissa!
Y'all might want to get Lissa's books from Amazon or elsewhere before they start the revisions. Check out Lissa's blog for more info.
Here is a list of Lissa's books with an Amazon link. If you buy 3 you get the 4th free.
Martha Years (Laura's great-grandmother):
• Little House in the Highlands
• Far Side of the Loch
• Down to the Bonny Glen
• Beyond the Heather Hills
Charlotte Years (Laura's grandmother):
• Little House by Boston Bay
• On Tide Mill Lane
• The Road from Roxbury
• Across the Puddingstone Dam
You definitely want to have these in your personal library for your kids and grandkids!
ETA -- fixed the links folks, sorry about that!

Here in Amazon Germany, one of the books is being sold for over 120Euros from another supplier.
I proceeded to look up the Caroline years. There are 2 different authors for those books???? Are these books also worth recommending? The Rose years?

Mary, thanks for your kind words. Stephanie, yes, another author finished the Caroline series when Maria Wilkes decided the demands of her growing family (four children at the time) were too great to mesh well with writing. Historical fiction takes a LOT of time--so many little details to look up...
I'm sure Harper will find someone to finish my series too. I just can't think about that too much!

I have recently purchased and received copies of all of your books, Lissa. Now what about the other authors' series? Does everyone like these as well? Should I be trying to scoop these up before it is too late?

Oh, my aching wallet!! Here is what I just ordered:
Little House in the Highlands
Far Side of the Loch
Down to the Bonny Glen
Beyond the Heather Hills
Little House by Boston Bay
On Tide Mill Lane
The Road from Roxbury
Across the Puddingstone Dam
Little House in Brookfield
LH at the Crossroads
Little Clearing in the Woods
Across the Rolling River
Little City by the Lake
LH on Rocky Ridge
Little Farm in the Ozarks
In the land of the Big Red Apple
On the other side of the Hill
Little Town in the Ozarks
New Dawn on Rocky Ridge
On the Banks of the Bayou
Bachelor Girls
Young Pioneers
I still need Concord Hill but I'll just have to watch for it later. Several of the books are not in stock at Amazon and said that they will ship in 4-7 weeks; will they really ship or will I get a note that they are no longer available? Did I miss any?

I can't get The Road from Roxbury! I tried Amazon.de and Amazon.uk with no luck! I am hoping that it will turn up somewhere.

Book Closeouts have some of Melissa's Books. I created a link for it and will keep it in my blog side bar as well. Melissa Wiley's Little House Books at Book Closeouts

Still wondering about the books by the other authors? Anyone have any strong feelings of love or distaste for any of them?

Oh! We LOVE the Caroline and the Rose books, as a whole family! I read them all aloud, and then the children have read them to themselves. They are a MUST!
Just a warning, just my opinion: the second to last Rose book has some feminist ideas in them at one or two points and one time when she is riding with a boy when she is not supposed to be....I just skipped those parts since I was reading aloud and my kids were young. I never did read the last Rose book out loud to the kids......she gets married........and then divorced....and then remarried......and she spends alot of the book trying to decide who to marry.......obviously to the wrong guy
.....I just borrowed that book and read it to myself.....the others we own.
Have fun.......the books are SO fun to read aloud as a family! Start with Martha and go for it!

Is there a list of titles anywhere? Amazon has a book in the Caroline series call "A Little House of Their Own" that isn't on the publishers site.

Very funny, Dork....I mean, uh, Molly
I figured it out way back when.... here is what happened to me:
I KNEW Lissa on CCM.....and, I had a Melissa Peterson on my newsletter mailing list.
And, I knew that Lissa was Melissa Wiley.
It took a year or so, for me to figure out that Melissa Peterson on my mailing list was Lissa on CCM......I felt kind of silly, I mean, er, dorky, too
Do you feel less alone?
I wish I could have seen your face when this dawned on you
Talk to you soon......

LOL LOL!!!!! You all are too funny!!
Hey, a little FYI about Bookcloseouts.com. That's a remainder house--meaning the author gets no royalties for those sales. I'm not pointing this out on my account (my LH royalty is tiny anyway--Laura's estate gets most of it), but just to put the word out there. Whenever possible, it's better (from a writer's perspective) to buy from a retailer than a remainder house. Not just to get the writer his royalties, but also to let his publisher know the book is actually selling!
