Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm dying to get my hands on Michael O'Brien's book "Waiting: Stories for Advent." I'm such a fan of his novels...

It's available through the publisher's website: Justin Press (Scroll to the very bottom... try not to get distracted with all the other excellent titles on the screen.)

Anyone seen it yet?

I have it and it's beautiful. Also the Winter Tales book they have listed. I'd forgotten they were on my shelves --thanks for the reminder, it's the perfect time for them!

I would say about middle school to high school (to adult) if read alone but the introduction in Winter Tales is addressed to readers “young or old” and both books make a great read aloud for the whole family. Some of it may have to be explained for the very young but they are great discussion starters.
