I have been reading and enjoying CS Lewis: Letters To Children this week.

I didn't realize he answered every letter sent to him. I love his take on age: he says though he is old, some parts of him have never grown up, and some parts of him were already fifty when he was 12. I also was interested to read that he never meant for Aslan in the Narnia books to represent Jesus.. it just happened as he wrote the story, and it was awhile before he noticed it was happening.

This would be a great book to read with your Narnia fans. It could also lead to a nice rabbit trail of writing to your favorite author(s). I once wrote letter to Herman Wouk, and he answered it, saying that many fans enjoy his books, but very few ever take the time to write. That letter is one of my "treasures".
