So pleased to let you all know that Ben Hatke will be illustrating the first of the Coloured Fairy Books by Andrew Lang for us at Partridge Hill Media. Each story will be fully illustrated and bound as a separate book for collecting.

If you are not familiar with Ben's work, check out his website here. He is a super-talented Catholic illustrator and we''re so pleased to have him working on this project.

Other artists will be coming on board to illustrate the other coloured books. I'll announce those when we have details firmed up.

I was thinking of getting a couple of these books this year. Are they not already illustrated? If they are, are the illustrations not up to par?

How long til these come out?

Yes, the original books are illustrated with engravings or pen-and-ink illustrations. There is usually one illustration per story. What we are doing is to publish each story in each book with several full-colour illustrations, and leave the stories unabridged.

The books will begin to be offered in hard-cover and soft-cover sometime this fall with one story being released at a time.

We're very excited about the project. It's been on my heart and mind for several years. It has taken that long to find the right people to make it happen.
