Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

THis year I want to have some of the "additional books" on cd. Our library does not have a good selection. SO, I'm thinking of renting or downloading on-line. Any suggestions for sites? I checked Audiobooks.com and I don't want to pay $17 a month. I'm new to this and not up on the latest things. So, any affordable ideas would be helpful!!!

Did you see the free sites, like Librivox.org, booksshouldbefree.org, learnoutloud.com, or freeclassicaudiobooks.com?
Another pay site is Audible.com.

Just some quick thoughts...

God bless,
Christine

Two ideas:
1- does your library have a website? Although we live near a teeny tiny branch, I can reserve things from anywhere in the county and have them sent to "my" branch. That might give you a much larger selection.
2- when we travel we use the Cracker Barrel system- the selection varies from store to store. You pick out what you want, and purchase it on a credit card. You can return it to any Cracker Barrel in the US and they will refund your card- I think they charge you $2.99 a week.

In terms of buying cd's nobody can beat "Chinaberry" catalog/web site for wonderful books on cd. They are a staple birthday present in our home.
Happy listening, Mcchatty
