Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

If you have your older children responding to the literature they are reading, separate from the cm narration, or if you are giving them specific paper topics, where are you finding these topics or ideas?

For example, I have been looking at
Lightening Literature
Kolbe's 9th grade Lit. plans
among other things.

So far we have just read heaps of books and discussed them very informally, but I would like a little more direction now.

Also, I am horrible at assigning papers- LA is my weakness and I would be much happier with Algebra and Latin all day long!

So....
Where do you find paper topics?
How often is one assignted?
Are you using a separate comp. course on the side? (Kolbe seems to use the separate comp. texts and this looks like it could be helpful esp. for my upcoming 9th grader. Does anyone have any experience with the Sadlier course?)

Thank you,
Kristie
(on a mother's week off at her parents, where I can think through all these things!)
