Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

DD has announced she would like to study myths this summer particularly labrinths ...Im think i could go with this pretty well but can't come up with any stories

I know there is a greek one about a minotaur but other than that im blank.

Dh is excited about telling her about Knosses (sp?)
and Im planning on making little table top finger labirynths with fimo (I saw one for 50 bucks! )
I though we could read about chartres too...but other myths...anyone?

She always keeps me on my toes with her interests

Thanks- Maggie

You can tell I'm a product of public schools because when I first read this topic the first thing I thought of was The Labyrinth. David Bowie and the Muppets.

That's what I love about this forum, though, little things like this that inspire me to learn more about something...you might just want to start reading, yourself: I usually start with Wikipedia. I might have the movie memorized, but I never knew there were different kinds of labyrinths, or the fact that there is a labyrinth on the floor of the Cathedral of Chartres. (Wouldn't that be a fun field trip...I wish!) Here is another link to details on the Labyrinth of Chartres. Fun stuff!
