Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Last fall someone was referencing these wonderful religious (saint) books. They linked them, they were expensive, and for the life of me I cannot remember (nor find in my searchs) what they are called. Does this ring a vague bell to anyone?

I realize I am really giving you sleuths alot to go on bare with me...PLEASE!

Hey Molly--I was puttering around the catalogue after clicking the link....there is a compiled version of the stories availabe in soft cover and hard cover. It's probably nicer in the individual books, but if cost is an issue, it would be a nice way to have the stories.

The series of books called Saints and Friendly beasts is by author Eva K. Betz - illustrations are black and white - very nice though, by illustrator Charles B. Vukovich. Each book is about 47 pages long - these are much, much longer stories. The saints featured in separate books are "Saint Colum and the Crane", "St. Brigid and the Cows", "Saint Germaine and the Sheep", "St. Martin de Porres and the Mice", and "Blessed Sebastian and the Oxen".

Hope that helps!

You also can by these individually through Emmanuel Books. It helps soften the blow to buy one or two at a time.
